AB FASA, a manufacturer of packaging equipment for the dairy and food industries, needed a more accepted and better-supported control solution for the US market for its ARM Filling and Wrapping Machine. The company wanted a system that could handle its wide range of packaging formats while remaining simple, flexible, stable, and easy to maintain.

Rockwell Automation provided an integrated automation solution for the machine, centered on an Allen-Bradley Micro850 control system, PanelView 800 terminal, and PowerFlex 525 drives, along with other Allen-Bradley components. AB FASA replaced its previous supplier’s hardware with Rockwell Automation products, reducing part count, saving cabinet space, and cutting wiring, while also gaining faster support and local spare-part availability in the US and worldwide.
