Decore Uses Rockset for Search & Analytics on DynamoDB

Decore, a “QuickBooks for crypto” that syncs blockchain transaction data into Amazon DynamoDB, needed fast, interactive search and analytics so accountants could filter, verify, and reconcile high-volume crypto transactions. DynamoDB’s limitations made ad hoc queries impractical without massive global secondary indexes, threatening to cripple the product’s search functionality and user experience.

Decore integrated Rockset as a real-time, serverless search and analytics layer on top of DynamoDB, using Rockset’s continuous sync and automatic indexing so search queries return transaction IDs that Decore then fetches from DynamoDB. The integration took about half a day for one engineer, and most ad hoc queries now complete in under 100 ms, restoring full search functionality and giving Decore fast writes plus fast analytics without extra index management.
