Yacht Starship, a Florida boat tour operator with three brands across Tampa Bay and Clearwater, wanted to improve online sales, automate customer communications, and better manage revenue in a highly variable demand environment. Using RocketRez’s cloud platform, the team was still manually handling dynamic pricing with day-by-day price overrides, relying on weather, local events, and sell-through levels to decide when to raise fares.
RocketRez implemented its Demand-Based Pricing module for Yacht Starship, allowing the operator to turn its pricing knowledge into automated rules while still keeping control in-house. The result was a major time savings and a more efficient pricing process, with Jacquelyn Ketner saying automation saved her “a tremendous amount of time” and that a new employee could not imagine manually entering the overrides RocketRez had automated. Yacht Starship also planned to expand further with RocketRez email templates for cart abandonment reminders and branded messaging.
