Pocket Sensei launches a 9 MB karate e-learning app with Rocketech

The customer, Kyokushin Karate E-learning App (Pocket Sensei), sought to create an affordable and comprehensive e-learning mobile application to help beginners overcome the complexities of learning Kyokushin karate techniques. They partnered with vendor Rocketech to develop an interactive app that would function like a visual, guided book with personalized advice, making on-the-go training seamless and intuitive.

Rocketech developed the "Kanku" app using React Native and Node.js, which featured a detailed 3D anatomical model, a custom image rendering system, and over 4,500 multimedia pages. The solution was highly successful, resulting in a lightweight app (9MB on Android) that achieved over 5,000 downloads upon launch and a 5-star App Store rating, making Kyokushin karate accessible to a global audience in multiple languages.
