Case Study: Government of British Columbia achieves 10x faster DevOps issue resolution with Rocket.Chat

A Rocket.Chat Case Study

Preview of the British Columbia Case Study

How the Government of British Columbia uses Rocket.Chat to securely solve DevOps issues 10x faster

British Columbia’s BCDevExchange needed a secure, open-by-default collaboration platform that would let internal developers and external vendors work together without creating silos, while meeting legislative restrictions that prevented using cloud-hosted tools in 2016. They chose Rocket.Chat — an open-source, API-driven communications platform that can be self-managed and deployed in their private cloud to keep data under government control.

Rocket.Chat was deployed in the Government of British Columbia’s private cloud and integrated with existing tools, enabling open channels for over 2,000 members and seamless cross-organization collaboration. The result: much faster detection and response to DevOps issues — in many cases up to 10x faster resolutions — and a scalable, secure community that improved problem-solving across projects.
