Wolverine Packing Company Maintains Smooth Operations During Planned and Unplanned Server Outages

Wolverine Packing Company, a major food distributor, needed a way to keep operations running 24/7 while still performing scheduled maintenance and protecting against unplanned outages. In a perishable-goods business where downtime can quickly lead to lost revenue and spoiled product, Wolverine turned to Rocket Software and its Rocket® iCluster high availability and disaster recovery solution.

Rocket Software implemented iCluster to replicate and auto-synchronize critical data from Wolverine’s IBM Power 8 primary server to a backup system. The result was stronger continuity and fast recovery: Wolverine mitigated the risk of costly server failure, deployed a backup system in under two hours after a hardware malfunction, and kept the business running on the backup until full operations could be restored.
