Reducing Costs While Migrating Automation Tools

The Top Five Banking Institution, one of the top five banks in the Philippines, needed to replace its long-used Broadcom/CA CA7 workload automation tools because rising costs were putting pressure on its mainframe operations. Managing more than 16,000 daily jobs across core banking, credit card, and GL systems, the bank turned to Rocket Software for an automation platform that would integrate smoothly, be easy for staff to learn, and lower costs without disrupting critical operations.

Rocket Software implemented Rocket Zeke and Rocket Zack, converting more than 20 CA7 databases and seven CA-Opera databases as part of the migration. The project was completed on a tight schedule by late 2022, with Zeke in production by April and Zack and Zara finished by October, while also reducing calendar maintenance and simplifying job scheduling. Rocket Software’s local support, ease of use, and lower-maintenance tools helped the bank achieve its cost-saving goals and modernize its automation environment successfully.
