The Leading European Bookstore Retailer, with more than 250 locations across Europe, needed to speed up special-order processing and reduce ordering errors while replacing an aging green-screen IBM i application that was becoming harder for booksellers and customers to use. The retailer turned to Rocket Software and its Rocket LegaSuite Web solution to modernize the interface without disrupting the business logic behind the system.

Rocket Software implemented a web-based front end with improved search and usability, rolling it out carefully in stages from a pilot store to the full chain. The result was a stable, reliable system completed across all stores by August 2017, with no locations reverting to the old interface and no outages reported, turning what was meant to be a short-term fix into a long-term solution.
