With a small database administration team responsible for over 30 application databases across as many Db2 subsystems, the company struggled to proactively manage performance and resolve issues quickly. It turned to Rocket Software solutions, including IBM Db2 Query Monitor for z/OS and IBM DB2 Query Management Facility for z/OS (QMF).

Rocket Software helped the provider improve Db2 performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Using Query Monitor with IBM Query Workload Tuner, the time to investigate poorly performing jobs, recommend improvements, and identify a fix dropped to less than a day on average. QMF also gave more than 400 users browser-based access to reports and dashboards, strengthening analytics and helping support the company’s digital transformation and hybrid cloud goals.
