CGU Automates Development to Support Rapid Growth with Zero Downtime

CGU Insurance, a long-established Australian insurer, was struggling with time-consuming manual change control processes that slowed application updates and made it hard to support forecasted growth. To modernize its software change management and deployment approach, CGU Insurance worked with Rocket Software and evaluated Rocket Aldon Lifecycle Manager and Rocket Aldon Deployment Manager.

Rocket Software implemented Rocket Aldon Lifecycle Manager to automate and safeguard CGU Insurance’s development and release process across more than 30 environments. The results were significant: 20 developers and four deployment staff now manage changes more efficiently, average code change time dropped from 75 minutes to eight, and manual requirements were eliminated, improving consistency, reducing risk, and giving management greater confidence in deployments.
