Velociti, CSTK’s in-house IT services team, needed to eliminate manual double entry between Salesforce and the IBM i-based ERP/general ledger systems used to manage work orders, invoicing, and financial data. The team was spending too much time syncing data by hand, which created bottlenecks, errors, and more than $200,000 in added annual costs. To avoid a risky and expensive replatforming effort, Velociti turned to Rocket Software and its Rocket Process Automation product.

Rocket Software implemented API-based microflows that automated data flow between Salesforce and the IBM i environment, including pushing work order costing data into the general ledger and routing invoice data for more accurate tax processing in Salesforce. The result was better visibility into end-to-end processes, faster financial reporting, lower overspending risk, and the removal of repetitive manual work. Velociti and CSTK were able to keep their core systems in place while shifting staff to higher-value tasks, avoiding a replatforming cost estimated at $1 million per year.
