Mevert Maschinenbau reduces maintenance workers from 4 to 2 with Robotmaster

The customer, Mevert Maschinenbau, faced a challenge in maintaining its Schweerbau mobile rail milling machine. The manual process of turning or replacing the machine's reversible plates required four maintenance workers and was time-consuming. Mevert partnered with vendor Robotmaster to find a safer and more efficient solution.

Robotmaster provided an offline programming solution using a digital twin to simulate and program a robot cell. This automation handled the dismantling and retightening of the reversible plates, a task with 720 variable start-up positions. The results were significant: the process now requires only two maintenance workers instead of four, improving safety by ensuring no bolts are missed and freeing personnel for other tasks. This represented a major reduction in costs for Mevert.
