AV&R Robotics, a leader in industrial automation, faced the challenge of programming an extremely complex robotic de-burring application for aircraft engine combustion chambers. Their manual teach-pendant method was painstaking, requiring 900 man-hours from a team of five engineers. To shorten this cycle and meet customer demands for high precision and reduced development times, they turned to vendor Robotmaster and its offline programming software.

The solution implemented by Robotmaster allowed AV&R to generate robot program code directly from CAD files offline. This resulted in the programming being completed in half the time with a team of two instead of five. Beyond a 50% time saving, Robotmaster provided superior precision and repeatability, simplified adjustments, and enabled offline programming without interrupting production. AV&R expects future time savings of 75% now that the software is fully integrated into their process.
