Relectric Supply, a San Jose–based buyer and seller of current-model and obsolete electrical distribution equipment with an online catalog of over 200,000 part numbers, relies heavily on promotional email marketing to its ~56,000 customers. With typical campaign response around 1 in 1,000, Relectric sought a simple way to boost opens and RFPs to drive more sales from their frequent promotional sends.
By using OpenGen to send an alternate subject line to non-openers (a two-click change), Relectric increased opens by 60% among that audience, and RFPs rose in line with that lift. The campaign produced roughly $25,200 in incremental profit, prompting Relectric to adopt OpenGen for future sends.
