Transitioning to Remote Learning with MS Teams at Cradley Church of England Primary School in Halesowen in the West Midlands

Cradley Church of England Primary School in Halesowen, West Midlands, needed to move quickly to remote learning when schools closed in March 2020. With support from RM Education, the school looked for a platform that staff, pupils, and parents would find easy to use, settling on Microsoft Teams alongside Purple Mash and its existing remote access setup.

RM Education helped the school prepare usernames, step-by-step guides, class Teams, and a practical timetable so learning could continue from home. The system evolved into the school’s main way of sharing weekly work, collecting assignments, giving feedback, and keeping in contact with families; today, around 90% of pupils access work online, with only about 10% still needing paper packs, and staff report that issues are now solved quickly and communication with parents is much stronger.
