Salford City Council worked with RM to modernise technology across its schools and support a growing digital education strategy. The council needed a partner that could manage a mixed school technology estate, improve value for money, and help schools prepare for cloud-based learning and remote access.

RM provided fully managed services, including on-site and mobile technical support, RM Unify single sign-on, cloud migration, and Microsoft Intune for device tracking and safeguarding. As a result, Salford schools moved from 10Mbps broadband in 2010 to over 100Mbps, adopted Chromebooks and iPads, and were ready for remote learning during the pandemic, with schools reporting fewer learning gaps and more reliable day-to-day teaching and administration.
