Case Study: Mary Webb School and Science College achieves faster, future-ready education with RM Education broadband and RM SafetyNet

Mary Webb School and Science College boosts broadband 10x and saves £4,000 a year with RM Education

Mary Webb School and Science College, a secondary school in Shropshire, faced a challenge with its slow and unreliable 100Mbps broadband connection, which was insufficient for its technology vision and frequently experienced disruptive outages. The school partnered with long-time technology vendor RM Education to find a more robust solution.

RM Education implemented a new 1Gbps fibre to the premises (FTTP) broadband connection, which included the RM SafetyNet web content filtering service. This solution resulted in a ten-fold speed increase, enabling seamless streaming of educational content and faster cloud backups. The school also achieved annual cost savings of £4,000 by consolidating its broadband and filtering into a single contract with RM.
