Case Study: Biggin Hill Primary School achieves remote learning success with RM Education and Google Classroom

Implementing Remote Learning using Google Classroom at a popular Primary School in Biggin Hill, in the London Borough of Bromley

Biggin Hill Primary School, part of the Charles Darwin Academy Trust in the London Borough of Bromley, needed to keep 420 pupils learning when lockdown forced most schools to close in March 2020. Having recently moved to a Google cloud tenancy provided by RM Education and already using G Suite, the school still had to quickly adapt its remote learning approach while managing issues such as sharing work, overwriting documents, and maintaining regular contact with pupils and families.

RM Education supported the school with the rollout and ongoing use of Google Classroom, Google Meet, Google Forms, shared drives, YouTube, and RM Unify for remote learning. The school moved to daily work set through Google Classroom, daily feedback from teachers, and a wider range of digital activities including story-time videos, quizzes, and live meetings, helping improve engagement and parental feedback while reducing document-sharing problems.
