How Remote Learning helped Lapal Primary School in the West Midlands prepare its pupils for a proper digital future with Google Classroom

Lapal Primary School in the West Midlands worked with RM Education as it suddenly had to prepare for remote learning during lockdown, just as it was beginning a cloud storage project and exploring Google Classroom. The school needed a way to keep staff connected, support pupils at home, and make sense of how to use its new Chromebooks effectively.

RM Education helped the school rapidly roll out Microsoft Teams for staff and Google Classroom for pupils, with Chromebooks preconfigured and assigned for immediate use. RM Education also supported setup, class assignments, and usage reporting so the school could intervene where needed, and the result was a much faster-than-planned digital transition that staff and pupils adapted to quickly, saving time and laying the groundwork for a longer-term digital future.
