Case Study: Europa School UK achieves reliable, school-wide connectivity with RM Education and Connect the Classroom

A RM Education Case Study

Preview of the Europa School UK Case Study

How an all-through free school in Oxfordshire took advantage of the DfE’s Connect the Classroom scheme to revolutionise the role technology plays in their teaching and learning

Europa School UK, an all-through free school in Oxfordshire, wanted to modernise its ageing site and make technology central to teaching and learning, but slow and unreliable connectivity was holding back its plans for virtual learning, online collaboration, and wider device use. Working with RM Education, the school pursued the DfE’s Connect the Classroom scheme alongside the earlier Rural Gigabit Connectivity Programme to address its broadband and wireless challenges.

RM Education delivered a complete connectivity upgrade, including fibre broadband and improved wireless infrastructure, after a site survey and full project plan tailored to the school’s needs. The result was robust, stable connectivity across the school, with capacity for up to 30 mobile devices in each classroom, enabling more tablets and laptops in lessons, better remote and hybrid working, and ongoing use of virtual open days, parents’ evenings, and online collaboration long after the pandemic.
