Case Study: Nayland Primary School future-proofs remote learning with RM Education

A RM Education Case Study

Preview of the Nayland Primary School Case Study

How a small rural Primary School in Suffolk future-proofed their school by leveraging the fully funded DfE scheme to deliver remote learning for their pupils

Nayland Primary School, a small rural primary school in Suffolk, needed a fast way to support remote learning when the COVID-19 lockdown began. With help from its local IT advisor, the school turned to RM Education and began exploring RM Unify and Microsoft OneNote, but had little in place at the start of closure beyond an app for communication and some learning websites.

RM Education helped Nayland Primary School get up and running with Microsoft Teams and RM Unify through the fully funded DfE scheme, enabling online classes, assignment sharing and collection, and virtual meetings with pupils, parents, staff and governors. The result was a much stronger remote learning setup, improved parent and pupil engagement, and a more future-proof approach to teaching, with the school saying Teams exceeded expectations and that all but 3 pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 had returned by the end of the summer term.
