Case Study: Clavering Primary School achieves remote learning success with RM Education and Microsoft Teams

A RM Education Case Study

Preview of the Clavering Primary School Case Study

How a small Primary School in rural Essex benefited from the DfE scheme to introduce Microsoft Teams in order to continue to teach their pupils remotely during lockdown

Clavering Primary School, a small village primary school in rural Essex, needed a way to continue teaching pupils remotely during lockdown while still supporting key workers and vulnerable children on site. Working with RM Education, the school took advantage of the DfE scheme to set up an accredited digital education platform, Microsoft Teams, after previously relying on ParentMail, its website, and remote access to some systems.

RM Education helped Clavering Primary School trial and implement Microsoft Teams, with support to get the system running smoothly before go-live. Within a little over a month of applying, the school was using the platform to run classes online, send and receive assignments, hold virtual conversations with pupils, parents, teachers and governors, and even share school reports securely. The school said the solution exceeded expectations and gave them the confidence, skills and technology to move quickly back to remote learning if needed in future.
