Case Study: Manningtree High School keeps learning moving during lockdown with RM Education

How a leading Secondary School in North Essex innovated during the Coronavirus lockdown to ensure their students continued to receive the education they deserved

Manningtree High School, a mixed 11-16 secondary school in North Essex, had to rapidly adapt when the Coronavirus lockdown disrupted normal teaching for its 900 students and staff. Working with RM Education, the school was already using RM Unify, along with a VOIP phone system and a mix of Google Classroom, Microsoft Office 365 and Show My Homework, but needed help connecting systems and supporting staff and students working from home.

RM Education helped Manningtree High School link its MIS to RM Unify so classes, groups and email lists could sync automatically with Office 365, Google Classroom and other tools, while also providing guidance and support to staff during lockdown. This enabled faster communication, easier remote learning and better safeguarding checks, and the school has continued using the setup to manage groups dynamically and support hybrid teaching; no outages were reported during lockdown.
