Case Study: Hendon School improves IT stability and educational outcomes with RM Education

A RM Education Case Study

Preview of the Hendon School Case Study

How a large and diverse Secondary School in North London responded to the pandemic by introducing Microsoft Teams into their remote learning repertoire and why they feel it is here to stay

Hendon School, a large secondary school in North London, wanted to improve the reliability and strategic use of technology across a complex school environment with more than 1,200 students. After reviewing its IT support, the school extended its existing contract with RM Education into a fully managed outsourced IT service, including onsite engineering support, because its internal expertise was focused on teaching and learning rather than technology.

RM Education helped map and strengthen the school’s network, install new servers and firewalls, replace switches, rationalize the core network, move staff and students to Office 365, and support cloud-based learning tools such as Microsoft Teams. The result was a major improvement in stability and support, with the school reporting that its previously unstable network was transformed, IT issues were resolved quickly, and staff perception of technology improved significantly, helping teachers work more effectively and freeing them to focus on better educational outcomes.
