Case Study: South Lanarkshire Council boosts engaging digital learning with RM Education and ThingLink

A RM Education Case Study

Preview of the South Lanarkshire Council Case Study

Hhow one large council is encouraging its schools to harness technology in a unique way – by using the innovative software tool, ‘ThingLink’

South Lanarkshire Council, one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, wanted to improve digital learning across its schools and help staff, pupils and parents get more from technology. Working with RM Education, the council looked for a simple, flexible tool that could make learning materials more engaging and support different ways of learning, both in classrooms and during and after the pandemic.

RM Education helped South Lanarkshire Council adopt ThingLink, creating interactive resources for virtual school tours, transition support, classroom learning, parent communication, staff information and more. The tool was quick for teachers to use and spread mainly by word of mouth, with around 250 teaching staff using it regularly. Schools reported stronger engagement, improved support for learners with additional needs, and better communication with families and colleagues.
