St Peter’s CofE Academy, a secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent, needed to keep teaching and school operations moving when the pandemic forced closures and social distancing. The school already used RM as its managed service provider, but it faced challenges around remote learning, password access, student engagement, and safe lunch ordering, while ensuring staff and students could still use technology effectively from home and on site.

RM helped St Peter’s CofE Academy simplify access by removing passwords for Show My Homework, supported the rollout of Microsoft Teams for remote learning, pre-loaded laptops for students who needed devices, and enabled a digital lunch ordering app to reduce queues. RM also provided practical support such as a changeable COVID advice screensaver and strategic IT planning; as a result, the school reported smoother remote learning, fewer complaints, and a rise in staff positive sentiment about computer access from 67.5% in December 2018 to 81.5% in September 2020.
