Case Study: Co-op Academy Walkden improves teaching and learning with RM Education

Co-op Academy Walkden, part of the Co-op Academies Trust in Manchester, wanted to use technology more effectively to strengthen teaching and learning, improve collaboration with parents, and move beyond simply maintaining IT systems. The school needed reliable connectivity, cloud-based services, and the right support and training to make sure staff and students could access resources anytime, anywhere. It worked with RM Education, using services including RM Connectivity Services, RM Unify Premium, and RM SafeyNet User Based Filtering.

RM Education helped Co-op Academy Walkden implement a cloud-based approach with 1:1 Chromebooks for Years 7 to 9, Google-based systems, and school-wide filtering through RM Buzz so students had consistent access and security at home and in class. The results included improved teaching and learning, better teacher well-being, reduced printing, savings from digital books, lower technical support needs, and less reliance on expensive on-site infrastructure, all supported by stronger internet connectivity and remote system management.
