Brooke Weston Trust upgrades networks in 4 schools with RM Education using Connect the Classroom funding

Brooke Weston Trust, a multi-academy trust, faced a challenge with inconsistent and inadequate network infrastructure across several of its schools, which hindered collaboration and access to digital resources. To address this, the trust partnered with its long-standing managed service IT provider, RM Education, to utilize funding from the Department for Education's Connect the Classroom scheme for necessary upgrades.

RM Education implemented a new network infrastructure using HPE Aruba Networking hardware, including indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi 6 access points and PoE+ switches. The solution resulted in reliably high connectivity, enabling effective collaboration and access to shared resources. Measurable impacts include the doubling of available places in a specialized SEND unit and significant improvements in student engagement and digital skills, particularly in areas of high deprivation.
