Brooke Weston Trust, a family of ten primary and secondary schools in the East Midlands, wanted to modernise its technology strategy after years of relying mainly on in-house support. It first trialled an external managed services model at Thomas Clarkson Academy and, after finding its existing approach needed more resilience, decided to review and eventually centralise its IT with RM Education, including a Trust-wide managed IT service and Microsoft Teams-based digital tenancy.

RM Education designed, delivered and implemented the Trust’s new technology service across all ten schools, helping Brooke Weston Trust move quickly during the pandemic and roll out remote learning ahead of mandatory requirements. By October 2020, the Trust had fully functioning MS Teams live remote teaching in its secondary schools, while also improving collaboration, training, safeguarding insight and parent engagement; for example, 60% of parents in one disadvantaged primary school were using ClassDojo within the first week.
