The Americas operations of a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer faced a significant compliance challenge after migrating its payroll platform. With federal and state regulations requiring data retention for up to a decade, the client needed a secure way to archive ten years of historical payroll data without maintaining costly legacy systems. RJ Reliance was engaged to provide a purpose-built historical data archive solution.

RJ Reliance designed and implemented an external, compliance-grade data archive that was integrated with the client's Active Directory for secure, federated access. The solution featured a self-service query surface built in Microsoft Power BI, enabling authorized HR, legal, and payroll staff to access records and run reports independently. This allowed the client to fully decommission its legacy ADP environment, eliminating ongoing license costs and vendor dependency, while RJ Reliance provided ongoing stewardship and maintenance of the archive for the required 10-year retention period.
