Telx, a technology company with 20 data centers across 13 U.S. markets, needed a better way for customers to manage facilities access and portal permissions from mobile devices. Although its Liferay Portal-based MarketplacePORTAL offered responsive mobile support, the process for handling access rights was too time-consuming, driving customers to contact support instead of self-serving. Rivet Logic Corporation was brought in to improve the mobile experience for these high-priority tasks.

Rivet Logic Corporation extended Telx’s existing Liferay-powered portal into native Android and iOS apps using the Liferay Mobile SDK, avoiding the need for a new mobile backend from scratch. The new apps streamlined self-service for facilities access and permissions, reduced the burden on support staff, and created a foundation for future native mobile features. Telx also benefited from Rivet Logic’s implementation support, including scope refinement, UX work, QA testing, and app store delivery.
