Case Study: PCM achieves fast, secure cloud migration with RiverMeadow

PCM, a direct marketer and value-added reseller, needed to modernize a travel and tourism client’s datacenter and put a disaster recovery plan in place while keeping older Windows Server 2003 and 2008 business applications online. The challenge was to migrate four legacy physical HP ProLiant servers behind the firewall, without agents, within a tight 48-hour maintenance window and before end-of-support deadlines, while avoiding downtime and disruption.

RiverMeadow’s Cloud Migration SaaS was used to securely and automatically move the workloads into a VMware vCloud Air shared cloud environment, with the on-premises site retained as DR. RiverMeadow enabled non-invasive migration, testing, and cutover with no server downtime, reduced migration time by 70%, and helped PCM’s client complete the project in under the allotted window with a stable, flexible cloud and DR setup.
