Xirrus Wi-Fi Network to Support Mobile Learning

Riverbed Xirrus provides Array‑based Wi‑Fi solutions for education and enterprise. Customers such as Brigham Young University‑Idaho and New England Law | Boston faced fragmented hotspot coverage, dropped connections, interference and insufficient capacity for the growing number of student devices and high‑density classrooms.

Xirrus deployed dense Wireless Arrays and the Xirrus Management System (XMS), giving campus‑wide indoor coverage, integrated monitoring and application control. Results included nearly 700 arrays at BYU delivering 100% indoor coverage and support for thousands of simultaneous devices, a 20% reduction in devices and a 30% lower wireless TCO at New England Law, fewer connectivity complaints, improved classroom engagement and significant savings in cabling and infrastructure.
