Xerox - Customer Case Study

Xerox Cloud Computing Services needed to deliver fast, secure, multi-tenant IaaS for global brands but found traditional hardware ADCs would create performance bottlenecks and limit scalability and high availability. The challenge was to provide application delivery control that could scale, remain highly available, and protect and optimize many virtualized applications without large capital expenditure.

Xerox deployed Riverbed’s Stingray Traffic Manager as virtual appliances on VMware (paired for HA) to provide connection multiplexing, locality-aware load distribution, SSL offload, auto-scaling and optional application firewalling. The result was higher throughput and lower latency, resilient failover across clusters, rapid provisioning (hours instead of days), flexible utility pricing and proven success for customers such as a restaurant delivery rollout and high-volume benefits enrollment.
