A Riverbed Case Study
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT) is one of England’s largest community health providers, serving about 1.4 million people and supporting over 5,000 staff across hundreds of applications and devices. The Trust faced limited end-to-end visibility into clinician device and application performance, slow root-cause analysis, no clear view of end‑user experience, and insufficient early insight into its Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system—issues that risked delays in patient pathways and daily operations.
KCHFT deployed Riverbed Aternity Digital Experience Management (6,200 licenses) to gain real-time monitoring, bespoke EPR dashboards and automated remediation. The solution cut blue‑screen incidents by 99% (from 274 to one per day), saved 68.5 clinician hours, avoided replacing 42% of older devices, reduced service‑desk churn and delivered rapid ROI while improving clinician productivity and patient-care continuity.
