Alfa Laval, a global manufacturer of heat‑transfer, separation and fluid‑handling equipment with operations in around 60 countries, centralized key servers and applications to a main data center in Sweden. That consolidation exposed severe WAN latency (as high as 400 ms), causing slow or timed‑out access to mission‑critical apps, frustrated users and falling employee productivity—adding bandwidth did not solve the problem.
