Halkbank, founded in 1933 and one of Türkiye’s largest banks with 20 million customers (about 7.6 million digital), needed to ensure seamless, highly available digital banking as customer traffic surged—doubling during COVID and spiking up to sevenfold on pay days. The bank’s existing monitoring lacked capacity and visibility, making root-cause diagnosis slow and reactive and putting customer experience and reputation at risk.
Halkbank refreshed and expanded Riverbed solutions—SteelHead for application acceleration plus AppResponse, Portal and APM for network observability and AIOps—giving automated baselines, real‑time alerts and dashboards for 40+ critical apps. The result: proactive issue detection, much faster mean-time-to-resolution, sustained availability despite 1.5–2x traffic growth, fewer customer calls, lower infrastructure and energy use, and a roadmap to further automation.
