Riverbed SteelCentral helps Mazars, the Netherlands quickly detect bottlenecks in their corporate network

Mazars in the Netherlands, part of the global Mazars group, is an accountancy and consultancy firm with ten offices and roughly 600 employees. As the company moved toward a paperless, highly digitalized environment—with offices linked by an MPLS‑WAN to two datacenters and an Oracle database hosted in France—it needed a trustworthy, highly available network and better insight into recurring performance issues that were hard to pinpoint despite existing WAN acceleration appliances.

On the recommendation of partner IP Knowledge, Mazars ran a proof of concept and then deployed Riverbed SteelCentral NetExpress alongside SteelHead appliances to provide end‑to‑end monitoring, advanced analytics, dependency mapping and predictive alerts. The solution cut root‑cause analysis time by about 60–70%, made issue detection and resolution much faster, enabled proactive fixes before users were affected, and simplified and standardized the network infrastructure.
