Riverbed Helps SBM Ensure Performance of Critical Web Services and Establish Secure High-Performance Connectivity Between Office and Data Center

SBM is the central, non‑commercial data hub for Turkey’s insurance industry, providing web-based applications and services to insurance providers nationwide. Faced with the need for consistent, high-performance application delivery and pre-deployment testing — plus the challenge of relocating offices away from its co-located data center — SBM needed complete application-layer visibility and secure, LAN‑like connectivity over MPLS while keeping bandwidth costs and SSL security risks under control.

Riverbed delivered SteelCentral (AppInternals) for granular APM and SteelFusion (with integrated SteelHead) for WAN optimization and branch-server virtualization. The deployment delivered a 3x increase in network performance and LAN-like user experience over MPLS, code-level visibility for faster troubleshooting and testing, SSL-traffic optimization for secure data in transit, consolidation to a zero-branch IT model with significant cost savings, and rapid, easy rollout that the IT team expects will meet needs for the next 3–5 years.
