A Riverbed Case Study

Riverbed and Rantek drive application optimisation on a global scale for Danish food industry specialist

SFK LEBLANC, a Danish specialist in meat‑production equipment that has grown into a multinational after several acquisitions, faced an aging, fragmented IT estate that couldn’t reliably support global operations or collaboration (notably Microsoft Dynamics, Exchange, CRM and CAD sharing). The company wanted a virtualised, cost‑efficient platform to improve application performance across locations and reduce the strain on its internal IT team.

SFK deployed Riverbed SteelHead appliances designed and managed by RanTek, which monitors performance via a blackbox, makes automatic adjustments and conducts quarterly reviews. The solution now optimises about 80% of traffic, lets the company consolidate WAN links (saving on MPLS costs), speeds CAD and application sharing, delivers consistent user performance and frees IT to focus on higher‑value projects—priming the business for further global growth.
