AllightSykes, a global leader in mobile lighting towers and dewatering solutions with manufacturing sites in Australia, Dubai and the USA, needed to move its on-premises ERP to AWS to gain on-demand scalability for the volatile mining market. The migration was jeopardised by extremely slow and unreliable data extractions to its on-premises Business Performance Warehouse—nightly extracts could take up to 20 hours and frequently timed out—and increasing WAN capacity was cost‑prohibitive.

AllightSykes deployed Riverbed SteelHead CX for AWS to optimise WAN performance and accelerate cloud-to-on‑premises data transfers. After a trial, extraction times dropped dramatically (hourly extracts from up to five hours to ~45 minutes; nightly extracts from 20 hours to six), enabling a seamless ERP migration, cloud scalability and cost savings without impacting end-user performance.
