Case Study: Mogul achieves a seamless, rapid hosting migration and improved performance with Riverbed Stingray Traffic Manager

A Riverbed Case Study

Preview of the Mogul Case Study

IT services company migrates to new hosting platform quickly and seamlessly with Riverbed Stingray solution

Mogul Services, part of the Addnode Group, provides high‑volume web hosting and managed IT services for clients including the Swedish government and major media organizations, handling roughly 30 million unique visitors per month. When Mogul consolidated data centers and upgraded its hosting platform it needed a fast, seamless migration that could support legacy publishing systems, maintain strict security and availability requirements, and improve manageability without disrupting end users.

Mogul deployed Riverbed Stingray Traffic Manager and Stingray Application Firewall as a software‑based ADC, enabling a standardized server platform across data centers, rapid eight‑week migration, and flexible DevOps-driven service rollout using TrafficScript. The result was a more scalable, secure and reliable platform with faster page response times, significant hardware cost savings (roughly half the hardware otherwise required), better control over third‑party apps, and the ability to quickly mitigate application vulnerabilities without service interruption.
