IT Service Provider Swiftly Sets Up Temporary Xirrus Wi-Fi Networks for Indoor and Outdoor Concerts Shows and Conventions

Kite Systems is a Hong Kong–based IT service provider that supplies temporary network and broadband services for large events, including Clockenflap and Art Central at the Central Harbourfront Event Space. Faced with rapidly growing demand for high‑performance, high‑density Wi‑Fi — and a previous solution that failed when thousands of guests and vendors tried to connect simultaneously — Kite needed a reliable, fast system they could deploy quickly in changing event environments.

After evaluating options, Kite deployed Xirrus Wi‑Fi and Xirrus Rapid Deployment Kits, which use multi‑radio access points (up to eight radios each) to provide coverage with about 75% fewer APs and far less cabling. Programmable radios and the Xirrus Management System (on‑premises or cloud) let technicians tune 5GHz/2.4GHz ratios, monitor performance in real time, and deliver detailed usage reports — enabling flawless service (including supporting 3,000 concurrent connections) and giving Kite a clear competitive advantage for event Wi‑Fi.
