Case Study: Southeastern Grocers achieves improved mobile and web performance and agile cloud development with Riverbed

A Riverbed Case Study

Preview of the Southeastern Grocers Case Study

How a Grocery store chain made it happen

Southeastern Grocers, owner of BI-LO, Harveys and Winn‑Dixie, is one of the largest conventional supermarket chains in the U.S., operating 739 grocery stores, 148 liquor stores and 372 pharmacies across seven southeastern states with nearly 66,000 employees. As the company moved toward agile development of digital services in the cloud, it struggled with no visibility into performance problems affecting its mobile app and web channels.

Southeastern Grocers deployed Riverbed AppInternals and AppResponse to gain end‑to‑end visibility into application performance. The tools helped the IT team identify and resolve mobile and web application issues, resulting in improved application performance and a better user experience for customers.
