CBP Group - Customer Case Study

Cbp is a European brokerage and credit-insurance consultancy with about 700 employees headquartered in Nantes and subsidiaries across Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Poland. As the group expanded, remote offices struggled to access applications hosted in the Nantes data center—file sharing and messaging were slow or unreliable over long or low‑bandwidth WAN links, and several subsidiaries were maintaining physical servers with local data that complicated backup and management.

Cbp first deployed Riverbed SteelHead for WAN optimization and later rolled out Riverbed SteelFusion at branch sites to virtualize remote servers and centralize data in the Nantes data center. The result: no more local storage, real‑time access to applications from all subsidiaries, centralized backups and simpler branch provisioning, improved application performance and QoS, lower maintenance overhead, and the ability to recover or scale branches within hours.
