Lung Cancer Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to saving lives and advancing research for people with or at risk for lung cancer, wanted to grow awareness and engagement on Facebook and Twitter despite limited resources. The team needed a better way to understand what content resonated with its audience and to bring social media analytics in-house, so it turned to Rival IQ’s social media analytics platform.

With Rival IQ, Lung Cancer Alliance built a custom social landscape, tracked social posts, and used the platform’s insights to identify high-performing themes and fresh content ideas. The team found that survivor stories, facts, and stats drove strong engagement, and Rival IQ also helped validate its social strategy and improve internal reporting to leadership and the board, all while avoiding the need for another separate tool when Instagram was added.
