Riva keeps UK Medical’s Salesforce users in sync

UK Medical, a leading UK supplier of medical products to the NHS and private medical sector, needed a way to keep Salesforce and Microsoft Exchange calendars in sync after rolling out Salesforce in 2010. The company wanted sales area managers and line managers to create and view appointments in Outlook and on mobile devices without relying on Outlook being open, while avoiding the cost and complexity of multiple Outlook plugins and separate mobile apps. Riva provided the advanced Exchange sync solution used alongside Salesforce.

Riva solved the challenge by syncing Salesforce directly to Microsoft Exchange 2010, keeping calendars, contacts, tasks, opportunities, and email in sync across Outlook and mobile devices without requiring Outlook to run. The implementation also enabled email-to-opportunity, email-to-case, and automated account/contact creation through SmartConvert folders. As a result, UK Medical eliminated sync delays and double data entry, improved field sales visibility, and gave managers the ability to schedule reps in Salesforce so appointments automatically appeared on mobile calendars.
