Melbourne-based wooden panel distributor Gunnersen synchronizes calendars and emails between SugarCRM and Exchange

Gunnersen, a Melbourne-based distributor of wood-based panel products, timber, and decorative surface materials, needed a better way to sync calendars and emails between SugarCRM CE and Microsoft Exchange 2010. After trying multiple add-ons that required manual action on each device and created extra work for users, the company wanted a server-side solution that would reduce data entry and keep field staff, especially those using iPads and mobile devices, accurately connected to CRM.

Riva On-Premise was implemented in December 2010 to automate synchronization of appointments, calls, tasks, contacts, emails, and calendars across Exchange and SugarCRM. The solution required only one admin, supported multiple sync policies, and delivered reliable, zero-admin operation in the background. As a result, Gunnersen improved CRM adoption, reduced manual effort, and gained dependable email and calendar integration; Stephen Watson said that without Riva, the integration would not be possible and Sugar’s value would be greatly reduced.
