Global Radio uses Riva for single sign-on and Salesforce, Outlook and iPad sync

Global Radio, a leading UK commercial radio company, needed a better way to sync Salesforce with Microsoft Exchange for its 400 users across Outlook, Outlook Web Access, iPad, BlackBerry, and iPhone devices. Its existing Salesforce for Outlook and mobile plug-ins created too much administration overhead and weren’t compatible with all the clients and devices it needed to support. Riva’s Integration Server from Omni was chosen as the server-side synchronization solution.

Riva implemented transparent, bi-directional sync between Salesforce and Exchange for contacts, calendars, tasks, and appointments, along with single sign-on for easier access. Global Radio rolled the solution out from a 10-user pilot to all 400 users in just two weeks, improving Salesforce adoption, data quality, and user satisfaction while reducing help desk and support costs. Riva also eliminated the need for desktop and mobile plug-ins and worked across all Exchange clients and ActiveSync devices.
