A Rithum Case Study
US Micro, a leader in IT asset disposition since 1995 that disposes over one million assets annually, began selling equipment online in 2010 and hired Karl Combs to grow its e-commerce presence. The company struggled with manual spreadsheet-based listings and fragmented inventory across marketplaces, creating a need for a centralized solution to manage product data, listings and stock in real time.
Combs migrated a ChannelAdvisor account to US Micro and used its Marketplaces, Webstores and Inventory Juggler to push feeds, photos and attributes to Amazon, eBay, Rakuten, Sears, Newegg and Best Buy while synchronizing webstore sales. The result: rapid expansion (two-day launches on Newegg and Best Buy), stable marketplace performance, projected online sales growth of more than $4 million year-over-year, webstore sales rising from ~$100K to a projected ~$1.2M, with Newegg and Best Buy now accounting for about half of e-commerce revenue.
